PACA announces resumption of flights at Kuwait Airport following weather improvement

The Public Authority Civil Aviation (PACA) announced the resumption of flights at Kuwait International Airport after weather conditions in the country stabilized and visibility improved.

The DGCA’s official spokesperson, Abdullah Al-Rajhi, confirmed that the airport’s operations have returned to normal, with flights proceeding according to regular schedules in full coordination with airlines and relevant authorities.

Al-Rajhi, who also serves as the Acting Deputy Director General for Aviation Safety, Air Transport, and Aviation Security, noted that the airport had been affected by dense fog since 2:00 am, which reduced horizontal visibility to less than 100 meters and temporarily impacted flight safety, leading to the diversion of several inbound flights to neighboring airports.

He emphasized that passenger and aircraft safety remain the top priority for the DGCA, which takes all necessary operational measures in cooperation with the concerned authorities and airlines to uphold the highest standards of aviation safety.

Al-Rajhi also praised the efforts of airport teams and the cooperation of airlines and passengers during the temporary disruption, affirming that the DGCA continues to closely monitor weather developments to ensure the smooth and safe flow of air traffic.
