PAM raids health center employing unauthorized workers, cite violations

The Public Authority for Manpower (PAM) raided a health center that was allegedly operating in violation of Kuwait’s labor law and medical regulations.

The inspection party uncovered a range of serious infractions, including the employment of workers who were working illegally in violation of labor and residence laws, including those who were on family visa and even domestic workers.

According to PAM, the facility was also found to be operating without proper licenses and in possession of unregistered medicines of unknown origin, which were stored in unsafe conditions, reports Al-Rai daily.

Moreover, the use of unapproved medical devices on patients was detected, representing a clear violation of the laws governing medical practice, employment, and residency in the country.

PAM explained that the health center was identified during a series of intensive joint inspection campaigns.

These operations were conducted by the Labor Inspection Department in cooperation with the Residence Affairs Investigation Department at the Ministry of Interior, the Drug Control Department, and the Health Licensing Department at the Ministry of Health.

PAM stressed that such coordinated inspection efforts will continue across all governorates to uncover and address violations of labor and medical laws.

The Authority affirmed its commitment to enforcing the law and stated that it will not hesitate to take strict legal action against any establishment or individual found in breach of labor regulations.
