Goan Cultural Centre celebrates World Goa Day on Oct 31
Brimming with music, laughter, and unity, World Goa Day 2025 will celebrate the enduring spirit, language, and cultural pride of Goa — a true tribute to Goans around the world.

The Goan Cultural Centre (GCC) in Kuwait is gearing up to host a grand celebration of World Goa Day on Oct 31, 2025, marking the 25th anniversary of the global event that unites Goans worldwide in pride for their heritage, language, and culture.
World Goa Day commemorates the recognition of Konkani as an official language of India’s Constitution — a milestone preserving Goa’s cultural identity.
Led by Carmo Santos, President of the Goan Cultural Centre – Kuwait, this year’s celebration carries special significance as GCC hosts the event in Kuwait for the first time.

GCC has organized numerous events over the years, including Grand Goa Day (2005), May Queen (2005), Goan Food and Mando Festival (2007), Summer Queen (2008–2009), Global Goan Convention (2010), International Konkani Film Festival (2017), Gulf Voice of Goa (2019), and Christmas Tree Celebration (2019), among many others.
The 2025 celebration promises to be a vibrant, community-driven event, featuring a performance by Goa’s renowned band ‘Injunktion’ led by Genevieve D’Souza, lively hosting by MC Felly Gomes, and creative audio-visual presentations by T-Bush. Delegates from Goa and across the globe will attend, making it a joyous reunion of Goans everywhere.
Festivities will include indoor and outdoor activities, cultural stalls, games, and a 3-a-side football tie-breaker, with exciting prizes to be won.
