The Al-Ajari Scientific Center announced that Kuwait will witness the arrival of the final star of the “Suhail” season on Friday, known as the “Sarfa” star. Al-Sarfa is the fourth star of autumn, lasting 13 days from October 3 to October 15.
The center noted that the “Sarfa” period signals a gradual decline in daytime heat, with nights becoming cooler and more comfortable. Humidity levels drop, and the air becomes cleaner, free from toxins, making the transition into autumn more noticeable, reported Al Rai newspaper.
The center stated that by the middle of the “Al-Sarfah” period, clouds will begin appearing from the west, similar to those seen during the “Al-Wasm” season, expected on October 16, with some referring to them as “the beginnings of Al-Wasm.”
In a related update, the center revealed that astronomers have observed a new comet between two stars, named 3I/ATLAS, the third known object from outside the solar system. The comet was first discovered in July by the ATLAS telescope in Chile, with earlier observations from June 14 later confirmed by other observatories.
It explained that the comet poses no threat to Earth, approaching at a distance of about 270 million kilometers, and will reach its closest point to the sun on October 30, roughly at Mars’ orbital distance.
