Shuwaikh Customs intercept 2 million Captagon pills hidden in glass panels

In a coordinated operation involving the General Department of Criminal Investigations – Hawalli Governorate Investigations Department and the Customs Investigation and Research Department, the General Administration of Customs announced a major drug bust at Shuwaikh Port on Wednesday evening.

Authorities had received intelligence indicating that a 20-foot container arriving from Lebanon, ostensibly carrying glass panels, was suspicious.

Upon careful inspection, they discovered that the edges of the glass panels had been used to conceal approximately two million Captagon pills.

Legal procedures were immediately initiated, and the case was referred to the Ministry of Interior to carry out further investigations and apprehend those responsible.

The Customs administration emphasized that this successful operation reflects close cooperation with the Ministry of Interior and the combined efforts of Kuwait’s security agencies.

It reinforces the country’s commitment to preventing smuggling, ensuring national security, and deterring anyone attempting to undermine public safety and stability.
