ICAIKC brings community together with 2025 badminton showdown
The event not only highlighted the sporting talent within the community but also fostered camaraderie among members and their families, making it a memorable and successful event.

The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India – Kuwait Chapter (ICAIKC) organized a lively Badminton Tournament on September 26 at ISA Badminton Academy, Kuwait.
The event, open exclusively to members and their families, featured spirited competition across multiple categories, including Men’s Doubles, Women’s Doubles, Boys’ (8–12 years), Teenage Boys, Girls’ (8–12 years), and Teenage Girls. Spectators were treated to thrilling rallies and closely contested matches, with trophies presented to winners and runners-up in each category.
The tournament began with an inauguration ceremony led by CA Rohit Agarwal, Chairperson of ICAIKC. CA Umesh Soni, Secretary of ICAIKC, welcomed participants and explained the rules, setting an energetic tone for the day.
The event was efficiently coordinated by CA Jatin Bagaria, with key support from CA Dipen Sen. Additional assistance from CA Bhavani Vikram Joshi, CA Kunjumary Ignatious, and CA Kunal Dalmiya ensured smooth management of matches and logistics throughout the tournament.
The ICAIKC Badminton Tournament not only highlighted the sporting talent within the community but also fostered camaraderie among members and their families, making it a memorable and successful event.

As the matches concluded, CA Rohit Agarwal congratulated all winners and participants, highlighting that such events promote sportsmanship, camaraderie, and community spirit among members and their families. He also expressed special thanks to the committee members for their dedication in ensuring the tournament’s success.
The prize distribution ceremony was led by CA Jatin Bagaria and CA Dipen Sen, with trophies awarded to winners and runners-up. ICAIKC extended gratitude to its annual sponsors — Al Mulla Exchange, NBK, and Cube Innovators — for their continued support. Special appreciation was also directed to the referees, led by Mr. Sunil Raj Mohanan, whose fair and efficient officiating contributed to the smooth running of the event.
Adding a memorable touch, each participant’s family received an Alshaya Group Voucher Booklet, with ICAIKC thanking Alshaya Group for their generosity. The Chapter also acknowledged media partners IIK and Times Kuwait for amplifying coverage of the event.
Affirming its commitment to fostering unity and wellness, ICAIKC announced that more sports and community initiatives will follow. The 2025 Badminton Tournament was a resounding success, strengthening bonds within the ICAIKC family in Kuwait.
