Fire safety checks underway in supermarkets and wedding halls
The Kuwait Fire Force’s Prevention Sector conducted a field inspection of the Mubarakiya Market buildings reconstruction project and discussed key safety and fire prevention measures.

The Kuwait Fire Force is monitoring projects nationwide, review facilities, check compliance with safety and fire prevention standards, and ensure approved plans are followed without violations or unsafe storage.
The Kuwait Fire Force and the Ministry of Social Affairs held a meeting at the Civil Defense building to discuss key safety and fire prevention measures. The session was attended by Brigadier Omar Abdulaziz Hamad, Acting Deputy Chief of the General Fire Force for Civil Protection, and Dr. Sayed Issa Mahmoud, Assistant Undersecretary for Financial, Administrative, and Cooperation Affairs at the Ministry of Social Affairs, reported Al Anba newspaper.
Discussions focused on fire safety requirements in central markets, their affiliated buildings, and wedding halls, with the aim of protecting lives and property. Both parties agreed to establish joint committees and work teams to ensure all safety measures are implemented effectively. Several senior officials from both organizations were also present.
Separately, the Kuwait Fire Force’s Prevention Sector conducted a field inspection of the Mubarakiya Market buildings reconstruction project. In a press statement, the department said the visit is part of its regular plan to monitor projects nationwide, review facilities, check compliance with safety and fire prevention standards, and ensure approved plans are followed without violations or unsafe storage. The meeting also addressed solutions to any implementation challenges to support the timely completion of one of the country’s most prominent projects.
