Ministry of Interior pledges strict measures to maintain road safety

Major General Ali Al-Adwani inspected traffic around schools and main roads, stressing strict enforcement of security measures to ease congestion, ensure students’ safe arrival, and firmly address road violations.

• Major General Ali Al-Adwani, the Acting Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior, highlighted the need for increased field presence of traffic leaders to oversee traffic movement and respond promptly to emergencies.

Major General Ali Al-Adwani, the Acting Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior, carried out a field tour to inspect traffic conditions at the start of the 2025–2026 academic year, following directives from First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Fahd Al-Yousef, reported Al Rai newspaper.

In a press statement, the ministry said Al-Adwani monitored traffic flow around schools as well as on main and express roads. He emphasized the importance of strict implementation of security and traffic measures to ease congestion, ensure students’ timely arrival at schools, and address violations firmly to maintain road safety.

Al-Adwani highlighted the need for increased field presence of traffic leaders to oversee traffic movement and respond promptly to emergencies. He also directed security units to intensify monitoring on highways, intersections, and school zones to prevent congestion and curb random parking near schools.

He urged parents and students to cooperate with officers by following traffic rules, noting that teamwork between the public and authorities is vital. Al-Adwani expressed confidence in the ministry’s personnel, stressing that efficiency and collaboration are key to achieving smooth traffic flow and safety.
