Al-Wafra Coop hosts first agricultural exhibition; opens new horizons for farmers

The Al Wafra Agricultural Cooperative Society has launched Kuwait’s first agricultural exhibition, drawing participation from leading international agricultural companies.
The three-day event, held at the Farmers’ Diwaniya in the Al Wafra agricultural area, was inaugurated by Dr. Ahmed Al-Azmi, chairman of the association, alongside Ahmed Al-Adwani, chairman of the Kuwaiti Farmers Union.
The exhibition introduces farmers to specialized companies, highlight their competitive services, and build connections that can help farmers make foray into their markets and benefit from modern agricultural solutions.
Dr. Al-Azmi toured the exhibits, engaged with company representatives to explore opportunities that help strengthen the sector and encourage exports, reports Al-Rai daily.
Dr. Al-Azmi also praised the exhibition as a milestone event that not only supports farmers but also educates the public about the quality of Kuwaiti produce.
He stressed the importance of agricultural festivals and exhibitions as platforms to inspire farmers, increase productivity, and promote local goods.
Alongside the exhibition, the Al-Wafra Coop also hosted a Dates and Fig Festival, showcasing products from a large number of farmers and companies.
For the first time, figs were included after successful cultivation experiments proved their adaptability to Kuwait’s environment. The festival attracted significant public attention, with citizens flocking to purchase premium dates and locally grown figs.
