Kuwait, Bahrain deepen military cooperation through high-level visit
Kuwaiti delegation holds strategic talks with US Fifth Fleet on Maritime Security; Al-Jaber praises Kuwaiti Navy’s role in regional and international missions

As part of efforts to bolster defense ties between the State of Kuwait and the Kingdom of Bahrain, Deputy Chief of Staff of the Army, Major General Pilot Sabah Al Jaber, led a high-level military delegation on an official visit to Bahrain. He was welcomed by the Commander of the Royal Bahraini Air Force, Major General Pilot Hamad Al Khalifa.
During the visit, Major General Al-Jaber met with Lieutenant General Dhiyab Al Nuaimi, Chief of Staff of the Bahrain Defense Force. The talks focused on strengthening joint military cooperation, and coordination promoting common interests between the two brotherly nations.
The Kuwaiti delegation also visited the headquarters of the US Naval Forces Central Command. Major General Al-Jaber met with Vice Admiral George Wyckoff, Commander of the US Fifth Fleet and Combined Maritime Forces. Discussions centered on maritime security, international efforts to protect vital shipping lanes, and the importance of joint cooperation in confronting regional challenges.
Both sides emphasized continued coordination, exchange of expertise, and strengthening collective capabilities to ensure the stability and security of the Arabian Gulf.
Major General Al-Jaber also inspected the Combined Task Force (152) headquarters. He was received by Commander, Brigadier General Mohammed Al Arifi. He was briefed on the Force’s missions in safeguarding maritime navigation and promoting stability in the Gulf.
Al-Jaber praised the force’s achievements and expressed pride in the prominent role played by the Kuwaiti Naval Force, which has commanded the task force for the ninth time since its establishment. He affirmed his confidence in the Navy’s readiness to shoulder international responsibilities in securing maritime waters.
Highlighting Kuwait’s growing stature, Major General Al-Jaber noted that the Navy’s high standing is a direct result of the support provided by the country’s political and military leadership. He stressed that this legacy is a source of pride for all members of the armed forces and a strong motivation to continue their dedication and service.
The visit concluded with a luncheon hosted by Sheikh Thamer Al-Jaber, Kuwait’s Ambassador to Bahrain, in honor of the Deputy Chief of Staff and the accompanying delegation, which included the Commander of the Naval Forces, Major General Saif Al-Hamlan, and the Coast Guard Director-General, Brigadier General Mubarak Al-Ali, alongside senior officers from the army and Ministry of Interior.
