GTD conduct mobile radar campaign’ 118 violations issued, wanted persons arrested

The General Traffic Department, through its Highways Department, carried out a targeted traffic campaign on Saturday utilizing mobile radar units across several major highways in various governorates.
According to the department, the campaign aimed to enhance road safety and enforce speed limits, reports Al-Rai daily.
The operation resulted in issuing 118 traffic citations for various offenses; arrest of three wanted persons, seizure of one vehicle, one vehicle impounded due to serious traffic violations and one person was detained.
The campaign is part of the department’s ongoing efforts to reduce reckless driving, enforce traffic laws, and ensure public safety on the roads. Authorities confirmed that similar field operations will continue in the coming days.
