CAPT sets Aug 5 deadline for Al-Subbiya power plant Phase 4 project bids

The Central Agency for Public Tenders has set Tuesday, August 5, 2025, deadline for submitting bids for a major infrastructure project involving the supply, installation, operation, and maintenance of combined-cycle gas turbine units.

This tender is part of the fourth phase of the Al-Subbiya Power and Water Distillation Plant project, which will have a production capacity of 900 megawatts, reports Al-Jarida daily.

The initiative represents a strategic effort to bolster Kuwait’s electricity generation capacity, especially to meet rising demand during peak summer months.

The project plays a key role in ensuring energy sustainability and supporting the country’s infrastructure development goals.
