Sheikh Athbi calls for more efforts to enhance public parks, roads

Farwaniya Governor Sheikh Athbi Al-Nasser met today in his office with senior officials from the Public Authority for Agriculture Affairs and Fish Resources (PAAAFR) to discuss ongoing efforts to improve services in the governorate, particularly in areas related to beautification, public parks, and green spaces.

The meeting was attended by Salem Al-Hai, Acting Director General of PAAAFR; Faleh Al-Enezi, Director of the Engineering Services Department and a member of the Farwaniya Governorate Council; Salem Al-Enezi, Head of the Agriculture Department in Farwaniya; and Hamad Al-Dalak, representing the Director General’s office, reports Al-Rai daily.

The discussions focused on enhancing recreational and aesthetic services across Farwaniya, including the development and continuous maintenance of public parks and the beautification of main roads. The attendees emphasized the importance of inter-agency cooperation to overcome obstacles hindering the implementation of landscaping and agricultural projects aimed at preserving the governorate’s green infrastructure.

Governor Sheikh Athbi stressed the urgency of intensifying work on these projects, especially following his recent field inspections which highlighted the need for improved upkeep and expansion of beautification initiatives. He urged the relevant authorities to prioritize the creation of a cleaner, greener environment for families and residents across Farwaniya.

Salem Al-Hai noted that the comprehensive renovation of several public parks is nearing completion, and that work is ongoing to upgrade remaining parks and adjacent roads. He reaffirmed PAAAFR’s commitment to supporting the governorate’s vision for a more attractive and livable urban environment.

The meeting underscored the shared commitment to advancing the quality of life in Farwaniya through sustainable landscaping, improved public amenities, and the preservation of ornamental green spaces.
