Second-round exams begin for twelfth-grade students, results expected July 20

The Ministry of Education has completed all preparations for the second round of secondary school exams, which began for twelfth-grade students who were unsuccessful in the first round.
Educational sources told Al-Jarida that the number of students sitting for the second round is relatively small compared to the first, and the announcement of results is expected on July 20.
Results will be published on the ministry’s official website and sent directly to guardians via the “Sahel” app.
The Ministry has designated eight schools in each educational district — four for boys and four for girls — to administer the second-round exams.
It has also approved the names of exam committee heads and finalized lists of observers and correctors. National monitors have been assigned to oversee the exam and correction process, ensuring integrity and adherence to regulations.
Officials have reiterated that no staff member with a close relative in twelfth grade — whether in the first or second semester — should be involved in any exam committee work.
The second-round exam procedures will mirror those of the first round, including the transport of exam materials, box-opening protocols, and the return of answer sheets to control centers for correction and review.
The literary stream students will complete their exams on July 17 with the biology paper, while the arts stream will conclude on July 20 with the statistics exam. Students in the religious stream will wrap up with the Quran recitation exam on the same day.
The Ministry stressed the importance of maintaining high standards throughout the exam process to ensure fairness and transparency for all students.
