Al-Ghous Street project expected to be completed by August 2027

The Director General of the Public Authority for Roads and Land Transport, Eng. Khaled Al-Osaimi, conducted an inspection tour to monitor progress on the Al-Ghous Street infrastructure project, which stretches from the Seventh Ring Road to Fahaheel-Ahmadi Road (212) in the Ahmadi Governorate.

According to sources, the revised contractual completion date — following the third change order —has been set for August 7, 2027, reports Al-Anba daily.

The 10.5-kilometer road runs parallel to the Fahaheel Expressway (Road 30) and King Fahd Expressway (Road 40), intersecting with major routes and serving vital residential areas such as Al-Egaila, Jaber Al-Ali, Hadiya, Al-Raqqa, Fahd Al-Ahmad, and Al-Sabahiya.

The project is expected to transform traffic flow in southern Kuwait by replacing traffic signals with free-flowing interchanges, including three overpasses, underpasses to ease access to nearby neighborhoods, and strategically placed reversing openings.

These upgrades aim to boost road capacity, reduce congestion, and shorten travel times significantly.
