Municipality detects violations, state land encroachments on Failaka Island

The Engineering Violations Follow-up Department, under the Engineering Audit and Follow-up Department, conducted an inspection campaign on Failaka Island following complaints regarding property violations and encroachments.

During the field tour, the inspection team discovered several violations, including unauthorized use and encroachments on state-owned land. As a result, official warnings were issued to the violators, notifying them of the infractions and the consequences if corrective measures are not taken, reports Al-Rai daily.

Authorities confirmed that legal and administrative procedures will be initiated once the grace period specified in the warnings expires. The campaign is part of the municipality’s ongoing efforts to safeguard public property and enforce construction and land use regulations.

Officials stressed the importance of citizen cooperation in reporting such violations to help maintain the island’s integrity and ensure proper use of state assets.
