Kuwait launches smart monitoring system to track government project performance

In a move to boost planning efficiency and strengthen coordination across state agencies, the General Secretariat of the Supreme Council for Planning and Development has introduced an automated performance monitoring system for projects listed in Kuwait’s annual development plan.

Sources told Al-Rai that the system provides a technical platform that displays real-time project implementation data through interactive graphs and concise summaries, allowing ministers to analyze project progress and timelines more accurately, reports Al-Rai daily.

Each minister now has a dedicated account granting access to a dashboard that includes key indicators such as the number of participating entities, active projects, total budgets and expenditures, project timelines, and the classification of projects as advanced or delayed.

The initiative is part of a broader strategy to enhance transparency, ensure accountability, and improve execution of national development objectives by adopting modern planning tools and best administrative practices.
