Islamic charity distributes sacrificial meat in 12 countries, including Kuwait

The International Islamic Charitable Organization has carried out its annual sacrificial animal project for the year 1446 AH, helping people in need during Eid al-Adha. The project was funded by a special endowment set aside for this purpose.
A total of 4,965 animals were sacrificed (including 380 inside Kuwait) and the meat was distributed in 12 countries, Kuwait included. More than 198,000 people benefited from the project including 1,520 needy families in Kuwait, reports Al-Rai daily.
Ibrahim Khaled Al-Badr, a senior official at the organization, said the sacrifices were funded by money donated specifically for this purpose. “These animals are a trust from donors,” he said, “and we ensure they reach those who truly need them.”
Khaled Waleed Al-Shuaib, who leads the volunteer department, explained that the 380 sacrifices in Kuwait were distributed in partnership with 13 volunteer teams.
He added the money for the sacrifices comes from a 300-dinar endowment per donor, which is invested during the year. The profits from this investment are used to buy sacrificial animals each Eid and donate them in the name of the donors.
Al-Shuaib also stressed that all families receiving sacrifices are carefully selected based on need. Volunteer teams study each case to ensure the deserving people benefit.
This project is part of the organization’s ongoing efforts to support families not only during Eid, but throughout the year with food, school fees, rent, and other needs.
