Kuwait distributes Article 8 passports; 4520 delivered, 3210 await collection

The Directorate-General of Nationality and Travel Documents announced that it continued distributing Article 8 passports during the Eid al-Adha holiday. These passports are for the wives of Kuwaiti citizens whose citizenship has been revoked.
The Directorate confirmed that a total of 4,520 passports were delivered by Sunday. Work teams remained active throughout the official holiday period, operating daily from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., to ensure uninterrupted service, reports Al-Rai daily.
It was noted that out of 7,730 total passports, 3,210 are ready and await collection. The beneficiaries have been notified via the “Sahel” App, which alerts individuals when their documents are ready.
The Directorate urged all concerned persons to monitor notifications on the “Sahel” App and promptly visit the General Directorate of Nationality and Travel Documents headquarters to collect their passports.
