Mohamed Naser Al-Sayer & Sons Est. Co. W.L.L proudly announced the successful conclusion of the second season of the GR Yaris Cup Kuwait, a groundbreaking motorsport event that continues to elevate the region’s racing scene.

First launched in 2023 as the Middle East’s first FIA-certified racing series dedicated to the iconic Toyota GR Yaris, the championship has become a symbol of regional racing excellence.

This season marked a major milestone with the debut of the first-ever GR Yaris Regional Cup — a thrilling competition between teams from Kuwait and Qatar, held in partnership with Al Abdulghani Motors. The Kuwaiti team triumphed in this inaugural Gulf Championship, underscoring Kuwait’s growing influence in regional motorsport.

Organized by ALSAYER, the GR Yaris Cup Kuwait reflects Toyota’s commitment to advancing motorsport, engaging youth, and fostering safe, high-energy racing experiences. The 2024 season attracted thousands of enthusiastic fans and showcased the dedication of talented drivers, engineers, and support teams.

Mr. Mohamed Naser Al-Sayer, Board Member of ALSAYER Group, expressed sincere appreciation for the invaluable support from FIA, Kuwait Motor Town, Suffix Event Management Company, and the event’s many sponsors. He emphasized the Cup’s success in connecting with local motorsport fans, nurturing talent, and enhancing Kuwait’s international presence in racing.

He also thanked the media, sponsors, and organizing teams for their vital roles in making the event a resounding success, highlighting the importance of youth and community engagement in shaping the future of the sport.

Mr. Martin Aherne, Senior Business Director, commended the spirit of teamwork and sportsmanship demonstrated throughout the season. “The dedication of our drivers, the unwavering support of our sponsors, and the enthusiasm of our fans have made this season truly special.

“Our Kuwaiti racers, now GCC champions, have shown incredible skill and resilience. This championship has become not just a race, but a platform for talent and perseverance,” he said.
Looking ahead, Mr. Aherne affirmed ALSAYER’s commitment to raising the bar in future seasons and cementing Kuwait’s role as a regional motorsport hub.

As part of the season finale, ALSAYER Group hosted a special Open Day at Kuwait Motor Town, in collaboration with the Corporate Excellence Department. The event offered a vibrant family-friendly atmosphere, where employees and their families enjoyed an action-packed weekend celebrating the sport.

Mr. Bader Faisal Al-Sayer, Senior Manager of Toyota Marketing, highlighted the season’s incredible reach and engagement.

“Attendance and enthusiasm have reached record levels. Over half a million fans interacted with the event on social media this season alone. We’re excited for the future — with even more thrilling races, deeper community engagement, and broader regional development in motorsport on the horizon,” added Bader Faisal Al-Sayer.
