Committee targets violators Al-Rai Al-Herfiyya area

A Committee comprising personnel from five different entities conducted a comprehensive operation targeting plots, garages, and industrial workshops in the Al-Rai Al-Herfiyya area and issued 120 citations of various kinds, impounded a vehicle involved in a reported theft case, another vehicle and a motorcycle for emitting disruptive exhaust sounds, and took into custody five expatriates for violating residence laws.

Major Abdullah Bu Hassan, officer from the Public Relations and Media Department of the General Traffic Department, stated in a press statement the Traffic and Operations Affairs Sector carried out these field campaigns against non-compliant workshops in industrial zones, reports Al-Jarida daily.

This initiative was conducted under the guidance of Major General Abdullah Al-Rajaib, the Assistant Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior for Traffic and Operations Affairs, and under the field supervision of Brigadier General Muhammad Al-Adwani, Assistant Director of the General Traffic Department for Technical Affairs, and Brigadier Ashraf Al-Amir.

The campaign was in collaboration with the General Administration of Residency Investigations, the Ministry of Commerce, the Public Authority for Industry, the Ministry of Electricity and Water, Kuwait Municipality, and the Public Authority for Food and Nutrition.

Bu Hassan reported that the operation resulted in the issuance of 120 various traffic violations, the impounding of three vehicles and a motorcycle by inspectors from the Technical Inspection Department, and the issuance of 22 violation arrest reports and three violations related to workers’ housing by industry inspectors.

Additionally, three summons posters were placed on a workshop and a garage by electricity inspectors. Commerce inspectors issued 72 violation reports for garages, workshops, and technicians.
