Baghdad invites Amir to attend Arab political and economic summits in May

His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah received at Bayan Palace this morning an official invitation addressed to His Highness the Amir Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah from the Iraqi President Abdul Latif Rashid, inviting him to attend two major regional summits.

The invitation concerns the 34th Arab Summit and the 5th Arab Economic and Social Development Summit, both scheduled to take place in the Iraqi capital, Baghdad, on May 17.

The invitation was personally delivered by Iraq’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Fuad Hussein.

The meeting was also attended by Kuwaiti Foreign Minister Abdullah Al-Yahya, Director of the Crown Prince’s Office Lieutenant General (Ret.) Jamal Al-Dhiyab, Undersecretary for Foreign Affairs at the Crown Prince’s Court Mazen Al-Essa, and Iraqi Ambassador to Kuwait Al-Munhal Al-Safi.
