Power outages expected as secondary transformer maintenance begins tomorrow

The Ministry of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy announced that maintenance work will begin tomorrow, Saturday, April 5, on several secondary transformer stations across all six governorates. The work is expected to continue for one week.

In a statement posted on its social media accounts, the Ministry of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy confirmed that the scheduled maintenance will lead to temporary power outages in designated areas. The ministry noted that the maintenance duration may be extended or shortened based on operational needs.

The Ministry urged citizens and residents to conserve electricity, particularly during peak hours between 11 a.m. and 5 p.m., to help maintain stability in the power supply during the maintenance period.
