“IPS Annual Day 2024, a celebration of talent, teamwork and triumph

The Indian Public School (IPS), Salmiya, hosted its Annual Day celebrations for LKG, Classes I, and II on the 19th, 20th, and 21st of January, 2025, at its school quadrangle.
The annual day event was a joyous occasion, providing a platform to recognize the dedication and efforts of students, teachers, and staff. It was a memorable celebration filled with enthusiasm, creativity, and a spirit of togetherness.
In her welcome address, Principal Mrs. Annamma Cherian expressed heartfelt gratitude to the teachers for their dedication in shaping the young learners with precision and care. She emphasized the importance of parents spending meaningful, distraction-free time with their children, highlighting the need to disconnect from smart phones and gadgets. Stressing the school’s commitment to holistic education, she underscored the collaborative role of parents in fostering a nurturing learning environment.
Proudly reflecting on the school’s achievements for the academic year 2024-2025, Principal Mrs. Annamma Cherian announced a remarkable 100% pass rate in the CBSE Class X and XII Board Examinations. Additionally, IPS celebrated victory in the CBSE Cluster Football Championship, triumphing over 23 competing schools in Kuwait, and secured an impressive fourth place in the CBSE Athletic Meet.
The Chief Guest for the LKG Annual Day on January 19th, Sr. Saritha, Principal of Carmel School, Kuwait, encouraged parents to invest time in their children, emphasizing its vital role in their growth and development.
Sr. Saritha urged parents to be their children’s best friends while instilling essential values to guide them through life. She also extended her heartfelt congratulations to the teachers and young performers for their wonderful efforts and performances.
The Annual Day for Classes I and II, held on January 20th, was honored by the presence of Ms. Geetika Ahuja, Principal of Aspire International Indian School. In her address, she emphasized the three C’s—Collaboration, Creativity, and Character—highlighting the importance of instilling strong values alongside 21st-century skills in children. She also commended the Principal, teachers, and students for their remarkable and thought-provoking performances.
His Excellency, the Ambassador of Nigeria, Mr. Murtala Jimoh, along with his wife, Madam Hauwa Abiola Murtala, honored the Annual Day celebrations for Classes I and II on January 21st with their presence.
The Ambassador praised the school’s vibrant cultural activities and the well-organized program. The event was also attended by the Executive Administrator of the group of schools, adding to the significance of the occasion.
The Management and the Principal applauded the teachers and staff for their unwavering dedication and commitment.
Similarly, parents too shared their joy and pride in seeing their young ones confidently showcase their talents and take on responsibilities with enthusiasm.
