Government Agencies, Central Authority to coordinate for data protection of withdrawn nationalities

The Ministry of Interior denied circulating rumors about the suspension of the withdrawal of Kuwaiti nationality according to Article 8 of the Nationality Law, urging everyone to verify the news from official sources before spreading it.

On the other hand, the Central Authority for Addressing the Situation of Illegal Residents, asked the government agencies to provide their approved email addresses, along with the person’s name, telephone number, and the department responsible for handling data of individuals who have had their nationality withdrawn, for communication in case of any inquiries.

The Authority stressed that emails sent by entities should adhere to the approved protection policy to ensure the security and proper handling of data and there is no misuse.

The Authority’s address to the agencies reflects the principle of cooperation between the Authority and other entities to ensure the confidentiality of sending data of individuals who have had their nationality withdrawn, emphasizing the need for a high level of confidentiality and security.

The Council of Ministers issued Resolution No. 296, assigning the Authority to coordinate with government agencies and other entities it deems appropriate to organize, amend, and monitor the status of those who have had Kuwaiti nationality withdrawn. The Authority is required to submit a report to the Council of Ministers every three months, detailing all measures taken in this regard.
