Interior Ministry’s dawn campaign yields 1,645 traffic violations and 32 arrests

The Ministry of Interior conducted a security and traffic campaign on Thursday morning, focusing on major and expressways. The operation led to the issuance of 1,645 traffic violations and the arrest of 32 individuals, including wanted persons and other violators.

The campaign was carried out under the directives of the First Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defense, and Minister of Interior, H.E. Sheikh Fahd Al-Yousef, according to a statement by the General Department of Security Relations and Media, of the Interior Ministry.

The operation saw participation from several key field sectors, including the General Traffic Department, the General Department of Rescue Police, the Public Security Sector, and the Private Security Sector.

The Department further explained that the campaign led to significant outcomes, including the arrest of 5 wanted persons with outstanding arrest warrants, 14 violators of residency and work laws, and the referral of 8 persons to juvenile investigations.

Additionally, 5 wanted persons were apprehended on charges of “absence.” The operation also resulted in the seizure of 17 vehicles due to traffic violations, along with the confiscation of two vehicles linked to other ongoing cases.

The Department emphasized that these campaigns are part of a broader strategy designed to strengthen security across the country. The efforts are focused on continuing the arrest of violators and wanted individuals, with the ultimate goal of ensuring a safe and stable environment in all regions of the country.
