“Czech Ambassador” highlights Kuwaitis owning Czech Health Resorts amid strengthening diplomatic ties
H. E. Juraj Chmiell, Czech Ambassador, praised the friendly and historical relations between Kuwait and his country, The Czech Republic, noting that “our political and commercial relations are excellent, and we seek to improve and develop them”.
The Ambassador mentioned this during the National Day of founding of Czechoslovakia. The event was held in the presence of, Deputy Assistant Foreign Minister for Europe Affairs, Minister Plenipotentiary, Mohammad Yaqoub Hayatee.
Emphasizing on the strong mutual relations between the two nations, Ambassador Juraj Chmiell said “What shows the pride in bilateral relations and assistance in preserving the territorial integrity of an independent state is, what happened in 1990 and 1991, during the Iraqi invasion, when the Czechs and Slovaks had sent to Kuwait a unit specializing in chemical defense and decontamination.”
Regarding his country’s popularity among Kuwaitis, Ambassador pointed out that thousands of Kuwaiti citizens visit the Czech Republic every year, andspend quality time in the famous health resorts.
The Ambassador added that many Kuwaitis actually own some of these health resorts, and they know the cities and places very well, such as; Prague, Karlovy Vary, Františkovy Lázně, Mariánské Lázně, Teplice and Darkov to name a few.
