Improving education system takes time and collective effort, says minister

Dr. Nader Al-Jalal, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research and Acting Minister of Education, said, “Any changes to the education system’s programs must be implemented properly, enabling us to introduce educational advancements, including modern technology, effectively.”

Dr. Nader Al-Jalal expressed hope that 45th Teachers Association Conference’s recommendations, workshops, and participating teachers would yield actionable results that can be applied on the ground and positively impact education, students, and the overall educational system.

Hamad Al-Houli, President of the Teachers Association, described the patronage of His Highness the Amir at the conference as a source of great honor and pride for the entire educational community, and particularly for the association.

 

Dr. Nader Al-Jalal, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research and Acting Minister of Education, emphasized the political leadership’s commitment to addressing educational issues, according to Al Rai newspaper.

He highlighted the patronage of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah for the 45th Teachers Association Conference, adding, It was a great honor and privilege to represent His Highness in sponsoring the conference, which underscores the importance of advancing education.”

In a statement to journalists after representing His Highness the Amir at the 45th Educational Conference of the association, Al-Jalal said, “The development of education takes time in a large system involving teachers, students, and schools,” adding that “any changes to this system’s programs must be implemented properly, enabling us to introduce educational advancements, including modern technology, effectively.”

He expressed hope that the conference’s recommendations, workshops, and participating teachers would yield actionable results that can be applied on the ground and positively impact education, students, and the overall educational system.

Achieving the noble goals pursued by Kuwait’s education sector

In his speech at the conference’s opening, the minister expressed his great pride in representing His Highness the Amir as the patron of the event organized by the Kuwait Teachers Association. He stated, “I am pleased to convey His Highness’s greetings and best wishes for the success of this conference, hoping that this gathering serves as an important step towards achieving the noble goals pursued by Kuwait’s education sector. This will advance the blessed journey of progress and renaissance, shaping promising generations who are aware of their national, professional, social, and personal responsibilities and duties toward this beloved country.”

He described His Highness’s patronage of the conference—the first under His Highness’s sponsorship—as “an extension of the political leadership’s deep commitment to the education process in our cherished nation. It aligns with His Highness’s directives, may God protect him, to promote and support everything that contributes to the advancement of education and achieves the goals we all aspire to. It also reflects His Highness’s strong dedication to supporting the educational process and underscores the leadership’s backing of all efforts aimed at developing education.”

Pride for educational community

Hamad Al-Houli, President of the Teachers Association, described the patronage of His Highness the Amir at the conference as “a source of great honor and pride for the entire educational community, and particularly for the association. It reaffirms His Highness’s deep commitment to the well-being of teachers and his dedication to providing a conducive and stable environment for them to fulfill their mission as envisioned.”

In his speech, Al-Houli added, “The high patronage reflects our leadership’s significant focus on education and its commitment to supporting all efforts aimed at following the guidance of our great father and leader, His Highness the Amir. This encourages us to redouble our efforts to advance education and achieve a comprehensive educational vision that instills core values and concepts in our children. This vision is rooted in advanced, integrated education, aligned with reform and development strategies for all aspects of the educational process, with the goal of achieving comprehensive quality through well-prepared and capable educational outcomes.”

A platform for the exchange of ideas

Minister Al-Jalal described the conference as “an important platform for the exchange of ideas and visions among experts and specialists in this field. It is the best way to develop innovative solutions that address the needs of the educational landscape and anticipate the future, contributing to the creation of a leading educational system that reflects Kuwait’s regional and international standing.”

He also praised the significant role played by the Teachers Association in organizing the conference, which highlights its ongoing commitment to researching educational issues and proposing solutions for the development of the educational system.

Education in Kuwait demands collective action amid rising challenges

The minister further explained, “Education in Kuwait is one of the most critical issues, requiring collective efforts in light of the challenges we face.”

He expressed appreciation for “the role of the Teachers’ Association in monitoring educational matters and organizing the conferences it holds. This year’s conference, under the theme ‘Problems, Challenges, and Future Paths,’ accurately reflects the issues we face in trying to develop education amid the current situation.”

The conference will be held over three days and will include fourteen lectures and twelve workshops. It will cover a range of topics, including recent visions in teaching strategies, global trends in education development, sustainable development in education in light of the New Kuwait Vision 2035, e-learning environments, concepts and applications of digital technology, and contemporary trends in idea development.
