With remarkable developmental achievements that have elevated its standing among nations, Saudi Arabia celebrated its National Day, an occasion Kuwait joins in celebrating, highlighting the strong and enduring brotherly ties between the two countries and their peoples.
On this anniversary, which marks a significant chapter in Saudi Arabia’s history since its founding under wise leadership, Kuwait reflects on the Kingdom’s steadfast and honorable stances on Arab and Islamic issues, as well as its genuine brotherly support for Kuwait.

Glorious past and a vibrant present
Mohammed Al-Harbi, a specialist in strategic and political studies, said, “Today, on the 94th anniversary of Saudi National Day, we celebrate both a glorious past and a vibrant present, and we look forward to the Kingdom’s bright future. This anniversary takes us back to the men who shed their noble blood to establish the state from whose blessings we now benefit.”
He added: “Today, we are in a country that is aware of global challenges, holds a significant international status, plays a major diplomatic role, and has an influential global voice in maintaining stability and peace on the world stage.”
He noted that the Kingdom has become a hub for global political, economic, and social forums and summits, and is set to host several major events, including the FIFA World Cup 2034, the Riyadh Expo 2030, and the 2027 AFC Asian Cup.
Political analyst Mubarak Al-Ati, in turn, said: “Under the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz, and his Crown Prince, Mohammed bin Salman, the Kingdom holds a prominent economic and political position at the Islamic, regional, and global levels.”
Saudi Arabia plays key role in convening Arab, Islamic, and international summits
He explained that the Kingdom today plays a pivotal role in convening Arab, Islamic, and international summits and in facilitating negotiations between countries to resolve conflicts.
He added that the Kingdom’s ability to persuade many conflicting nations to enter into negotiations underscores its influential political voice, while its success in fostering unified political positions attests to its significant global stature.
He further explained that this status is the result of Saudi Arabia’s strong decision-making, rooted in a clear vision and a firm belief in the importance of global peace and stability for the prosperity of all peoples. Additionally, the Kingdom is committed to upholding international law, respecting national sovereignty, and protecting national borders.
From an economic standpoint, economic analyst Fahadbin Juma said, “Thanks to the wisdom of its leadership, by its 94th anniversary, the Kingdom has achieved significant accomplishments and remarkable development, securing a prominent position on both the economic and political levels.”
He added, “The Kingdom boasts the largest economy in the Middle East and the second-largest oil reserves in the world, in addition to being the largest oil exporter.”
He continued, “The Kingdom’s standing has further increased with the launch of Vision 2030 in 2016, which impressed the world with its unprecedented goals and achievements, particularly by transforming its economy from being oil-dependent to a diversified one.” He also noted that “this vision has achieved many of its targets, leading to the Kingdom’s credit rating being upgraded to (A) with a stable outlook,” referencing “the statement of the Saudi Minister of Investment, who announced that 87 percent of Vision 2030’s targets had been achieved.”
Achievements in tourism sector
He continued, “The achievements of Vision 2030 are numerous. In the field of tourism, one hundred million visitors were reached ahead of schedule, prompting the target to be raised to 150 million. Additionally, the Kingdom’s non-oil revenues have reached 52 percent of its gross domestic product. The Kingdom has also attracted billions in investments and established the headquarters of major companies within its borders.
