Kuwait Cabinet ends renewal for expat advisors aged 60 and above

The Kuwaiti Cabinet, represented by the Civil Service Council, has decided to terminate the contracts of all expat advisors aged 60 and above working in government institutions

• The final working day for these expat advisors will be March 31, 2025. There will be no exceptions regarding pensions or bonuses.

A government source has revealed that the Council of Ministers, acting through the Civil Service Council, has made a decision to terminate the contracts of all expatriate advisors aged 60 and above who are employed in government institutions.

The source stated to Al-Qabas newspaper that the final working day for these expat advisors will be March 31, 2025.

It was emphasized that there will be no exceptions to this rule, and that pensions and bonuses will not be granted to those affected by this decision.

The government is set to hold meetings to discuss and implement new regulations for exceptional pensions, after coordinating with relevant authorities. These new regulations will be adopted after careful consideration.
