Gang of six arrested for residency trafficking using fake companies

The accused registered and brought workers into Kuwait in exchange for sums of money, with prices ranging from 350 to 1,000 dinars per worker.

The Residency Affairs Sector, through the General Department of Residency Affairs Investigations – Search and Investigation Department – has arrested a gang of six individuals, of Syrian and Egyptian nationalities, involved in residency trafficking. The gang established fictitious companies using forged and tampered documents, according to Al Jarida newspaper.

The General Department of Security Relations and Media stated in a press release that the accused registered and brought workers into the country in exchange for sums of money, with prices ranging from 350 to 1,000 dinars per worker, intending to make illegal profits. However, the Residency Affairs Investigations team was vigilant and managed to arrest everyone involved, including sponsors, citizens, and others who provided any assistance.

All necessary legal measures were taken against them, and they were referred to the competent authority. The Ministry of Interior confirms that it will firmly confront any form of residency trafficking and violations of the law.
