The Ministry of Commerce and Industry reported that local non-oil exports from Kuwait totaled KD 24 million in July, up from approximately KD 21.7 million in June, according to Q8 Press.

Saleh Al-Azmi, Undersecretary of the International Organizations Affairs and Foreign Trade Sector, informed the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) that the ministry issued 1,597 certificates of origin for Kuwaiti exports to GCC countries in July, with a value of about KD 15.7 million. This compares to 1,495 certificates worth about KD 11.68 million in June.

Al-Azmi added that 366 certificates of origin were issued to ten Arab and Islamic countries in July, valued at KD 7.1 million, compared to 403 certificates for nine countries worth KD 9.3 million the previous month.

He also noted that 22 certificates were issued to nine European countries in July, totaling KD 1 million, up from 11 certificates for four countries worth KD 515,276.

He pointed out that four certificates of origin were issued to four African countries in July, valued at KD 224,626, compared to four certificates for three countries worth KD 115,949 the previous month.

He also stated that 12 certificates were issued to seven countries in the Americas in July, totaling KD 227,443, compared to five certificates for three countries worth KD 77,216.

It is worth noting that some Kuwaiti exports do not have a certificate of origin issued. Therefore, the figures mentioned above include only exports of Kuwaiti origin for which the Ministry of Commerce and Industry issued certificates, as some importing entities do not require a certificate of origin for their products.

Kuwaiti factories export their products to various markets around the world, starting with the Gulf Cooperation Council countries, then the Arab countries, followed by European and African countries, and extending to Asian countries, Australia, and the Americas.

These products include, but are not limited to, “liquid gases, food products, polyethylene, organic solvents, empty cardboard boxes, white solvents, refined oil, mineral oil liquids, medical oxygen, dairy products, empty glass bottles, and copper rods.”
