Ministry, Royal Court team up to curb extra work by health employees

The Ministry of Health sent employee lists to the Civil Service Bureau to check for conflicts of interest from additional government jobs.

  • The Ministry of Health rotated and redistributed employees under the pay-for-work clause across various centers, following the recent redistribution of 485 Kuwaiti administrative staff.

The Ministry of Health is coordinating with the Civil Service Bureau to ensure that employees working under the ‘pay for work’ clause in the ministry do not hold additional positions under second contracts or bonus clauses in other government agencies.

Sources told Al-Anba newspaper that the ministry sent lists of employees working under the pay-for-work clause to the bureau to verify if they are also employed in other government agencies through integrated systems, which could create a conflict of interest. Additionally, the ministry has conducted a rotation and redistribution of employees under the pay-for-work clause across primary health care centers, hospitals, health zones, and specialized centers, following the redistribution of 485 Kuwaiti administrative employees over the past week.

This decision aims to ensure the fair distribution of human resources, achieve equal opportunities among employees, and improve the quality and level of service provided in health facilities.
