Kuwait Oil Company greenlit for $2.1 billion Burgan Field projects

The projects are among the largest developments in the Greater Burgan Field and are expected to be implemented in the coming years.

  • The Central Agency for Public Tenders approved thirteen international companies to bid on two projects for Separation Centers and Water Injection Stations in East Kuwait.

The Central Agency for Public Tenders has approved the Kuwait Oil Company to issue tenders for the construction and installation of two oil separation centers in the Greater Burgan Field. These projects are among the largest developments in the field and are expected to be implemented in the coming years, with a total value potentially exceeding $2.1 billion, sources informed Al-Anbaa newspaper.

The sources said that the agency’s board has qualified thirteen international companies to compete for the financial offers for the two projects. The first project involves building and installing Separation Center-1 and Water Injection Station-1 in the East Kuwait area, while the second project focuses on installing Separation Center-3 and Water Injection Station-3.

The list of companies qualified to submit bids for both contracts includes, Hyundai Engineering & Construction, Daewoo Engineering and Construction, Larsen & Toubro, Fluor, Técnicas Reunidas, Sinopec Engineering, CTCI, Saipem, Samsung Engineering, JGC Japan, Petrofac, and Sinopec Luoyang Engineering.
