Employment priority for citizens overlooked in nominations

Job priority is given to the highest qualification rating, with ties resolved by the earliest qualification, then age, and finally marital status.

  • For non-specialists, job priority is given to the oldest male, then divorced, widower, and single; for females, it’s divorced and widowed, then married, and single, with ties broken by the highest qualification rating.

  • The Civil Service Bureau ensures every citizen, regardless of degree level, is eligible for nominations to two different government positions.

Priority in nominations is given to specialists with university degrees or diplomas from previous and current employment periods, based on the established criteria for both males and females, according to sources from Al-Anba newspaper.

Sources explained that priority is given to the candidate with the highest qualification rating. If two candidates have the same rating, preference is given to the one who obtained the qualification first. Among equals, the older candidate is favored, followed by the married over the single.

For non-specialists, priority goes to the oldest male, then the divorced, followed by the widower, and lastly the single. For females, priority is given to the divorced and widowed, then the married, and finally the single. If two candidates are equal, the one with the highest qualification rating is preferred.

In this context, and to support the goal of ensuring fairness and equality among all job-seeking citizens registered with the central employment system, sources revealed that nominations will be open to citizens registered in both the current and previous registration periods who have not yet been given a job opportunity or nominated for positions in ministries or government agencies affiliated with the court.

The sources stressed the Civil Service Bureau’s commitment to offering every citizen, whether university graduate or a holder of a diploma below the university level, the opportunity to be nominated for two different job positions in two separate government agencies.

They confirmed that these regulatory measures are part of the new employment mechanism, which ensures that a candidate who declines nomination for positions in two different government agencies will not forfeit their registration or re-nomination rights. Instead, the candidate will be “returned to the system as a first-time employment registrant during the same registration period.”
