Crowdstrike has identified and resolved the issue causing the global outage. The outage was not caused by a security incident or cyberattack.

• Only Windows hosts were affected; Mac and Linux hosts remain unaffected.

• Experts describe this as one of the largest technical outages in history with significant losses.

• CrowdStrike’s issue coincided with a disruption in Microsoft Azure cloud services.

CrowdStrike, a cybersecurity company, has announced that the issue causing the technical outage has been resolved and they are now working on restoring the systems.

George Kurtz, CrowdStrike’s CEO, confirmed earlier that the problem behind the global information outage had been “identified and is being corrected.”

In a statement on X (formerly Twitter), Kurtz said, “The company is actively working with customers affected by the issue in one content update for Windows hosts. Mac and Linux hosts were not affected.”

He further clarified, “This is not a security incident or cyberattack. The issue has been identified, isolated, and the fix has been deployed.”

On another note, international tech experts have stated that this is the largest technical outage in history and will result in record losses.

According to Al Anba newspaper, experts indicated that CrowdStrike’s problems coincided with a disruption in Microsoft Azure cloud services.

They noted that an update in CrowdStrike’s systems led to issues in Windows systems.
