Kuwait Municipality blocks 245 violating buildings

The Kuwait Municipality said it has blocked 245 buildings in Farwaniya Governorate this month due to their incompliance with relevant regulations.

The move came following intensive field tours by the municipality’s supervision team for buildings nationwide to check for construction regulation violations, chief of Farwaniya Municipality’s engineering supervision department Jassem Al-Khuder said in a press statement.

The inspection tours are also intended to make sure that homeowners comply with the rules of engineering licenses and the number of allowed stories, he added.
He vowed that the municipality would take the necessary legal action against law-breakers. – KUNA
