The Kuwait Fire Force mentioned that its Fire Accident Investigation Department is actively probing the causes of the tragic fire incident that took place on Wednesday morning in a workers’ housing building in the Mangaf area. The incident resulted in the loss of 49 lives and injuries to dozens of individuals, according to reports from Al Jarida newspaper.
Brigadier General Muhammad Al-Gharib, Director of the Public Relations and Media Department at the Kuwait Fire Force, informed Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) that the tragic fire originated on the ground floor of the mentioned property. However, the presence of metal breakers and gas cylinders contributed to the rapid ignition and escalation of the fire, resulting in plumes of smoke that caused fatalities and injuries.
The Ministry of Interior had earlier announced today that the death toll from the incident had reached 49 cases.
