Farewell reception held for Ukrainian and Bangladesh ambassadors

H.E. Dr. Zubaydullo Zubaydov, the Dean of the Diplomatic Corps and Ambassador of the Republic of Tajikistan commended the efforts of the Ukrainian and Bangladeshi ambassadors during their tenure in Kuwait.

H.E. Dr. Zubaydullo Zubaydov, the Dean of the Diplomatic Corps and Ambassador of the Republic of Tajikistan, highlighted Kuwait’s stance in promoting peace in the region, commending its moderate foreign policy and positive relations with nations worldwide.

H.E. Dr. Zubaydullo Zubaydov, the Dean of the Diplomatic Corps and Ambassador of the Republic of Tajikistan, commended the efforts of the Ukrainian and Bangladeshi ambassadors during their tenure in Kuwait, emphasizing their work to strengthen their countries’ relations with Kuwait.

In his address during the farewell ceremony hosted by the Deanship of the Diplomatic Corps to mark the conclusion of the missions of the Ukrainian and Bangladeshi ambassadors.

Ambassador Zubaydov explained that Kuwait, under the guidance of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, provided them with all necessary facilities to carry out their duties effectively. He wished them success in their future endeavors.

The ambassador also conveyed his warmest congratulations to Prime Minister His Highness Sheikh Ahmad Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah on the formation of his government, wishing him success in his duties under the wise leadership of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah.

Additionally, the ambassador remarked, “The region is currently experiencing instability, especially due to the Ukrainian-Russian war and the Israeli conflict with Gaza, resulting in the occupation committing atrocities against innocent civilians. I urge the international community to intervene and halt the bloodshed, protect the Palestinians, and seek a resolution to the Russian-Ukrainian conflict.”

He also highlighted Kuwaits stance in promoting peace in the region, commending its moderate foreign policy and positive relations with nations worldwide.

Ambassador Zubaydov also extended a warm welcome to the new ambassadors from Vietnam, South Africa, and Georgia, expressing his best wishes for their successful missions in Kuwait.

During his five-year tenure in Kuwait, H.E. Dr. Oleksandr Balanutsa, the Ukrainian Ambassador, expressed gratitude for the support and facilities provided by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. These resources enabled him to fulfill his duties comfortably and effectively, overcoming any challenges with ease.

The ambassador stated, “Our relationship with Kuwait is positive, and we appreciate Kuwait’s stance against Russian aggression on our territory, as well as Kuwait’s rejection of the occupation of our lands, as reflected in Kuwait’s positions at the United Nations. Additionally, we are grateful for the assistance provided by the Kuwaiti government and the Kuwaiti Red Crescent to our citizens affected by Russian bombing.”

He further remarked, “My experience in Kuwait has been very positive. Over the past five years, I have come to know Kuwait and the kindness and generosity of its people. I have formed friendships and received support at every step of my journey.”

The ambassador expressed, “Kuwait is a remarkable country, and my time here has been a remarkable experience. I have witnessed Kuwait before, during, and after the pandemic, observing the implemented plans to combat COVID-19 and the determination of Kuwaiti leadership and government to overcome challenges.”

He extended his wishes for Kuwait’s continued progress and prosperity under the new era of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah.

Ambassador Balanutsa also expressed gratitude to his colleagues at the embassy for their support in fulfilling his duties successfully. He particularly thanked fellow diplomats, especially those from Europe, for their continuous support.

Furthermore, he extended sincere appreciation to the Dean of the Diplomatic Corps, the Ambassador of Tajikistan, for his ongoing support to members of the diplomatic corps in Kuwait. He also acknowledged the significant contribution of his family to his success.

He mentioned his upcoming plans, stating, “In a few days, I will depart for the capital, Kyiv, to join the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. I am currently in negotiations with my government to take on a significant role in serving my country, and this will be finalized in the coming days.”

On the other hand, Major General MD Ashiquzzaman, the Ambassador of Bangladesh to Kuwait, extended his sincere thanks to his colleagues and everyone who contributed to the success of his mission.

He mentioned, “Throughout my service, I have been in the military sector, and this is the first and last time I have taken on a diplomatic mission. I feel fortunate to have had the opportunity to work in Kuwait, with which we share special and historical relations.”

The Bangladeshi ambassador added that he worked for more than four years in Kuwait to develop this distinguished relationship, which led to him making friends among the generous and hospitable Kuwaiti people.
