Zain drops curtain on its theatrical show, ‘In Zain al-Zaman’

The company reaffirms its adherence to the values and morals cherished by the Kuwaiti people and expresses full support for the political leadership in safeguarding Kuwait from any potential harm.

The competent committee declined approval and public presentation of the theatrical show because the writer and certain actors were implicated in legal proceedings related to a television series that offended Kuwaiti societal values and morals.

Zain Company has announced the cancellation of the theatrical show “In Zain al-Zaman” as a demonstration of its commitment and respect for the instructions of the competent authorities. The company reaffirms its adherence to the values and morals cherished by the Kuwaiti people and expresses full support for the political leadership in safeguarding Kuwait from any potential harm.

The company’s statement, issued in response to the letter from the National Council for Culture, Arts, and Letters on April 7, addressed the failure of the competent committee to approve and publicly display the play. This decision was due to the writer and some actors being referred to the Public Prosecution by the Ministry of Information, stemming from their involvement in a television series that insulted Kuwaiti societal values and morals.

While Mobile Telecommunications Company – Zain remains steadfast in its commitment to Kuwaiti values and morals, along with its unwavering support for the political leadership in protecting the nation, it expresses deep regret and apologizes to its loyal audience for canceling “Fi Zain Al-Zaman.” This decision was made in accordance with the directives of the competent authorities. The company also assures its audience that details regarding the refund process for reserved tickets will be announced in coordination with Arena Kuwait management.
