Al-Mashaan implements automatic attendance, payroll for municipal staff

The decisions by the Minister of Public Works and Minister of State for Municipal Affairs require leaders in Kuwait Municipality to take all necessary measures to implement the fingerprint-based attendance and departure system

Dr. Noura Al-Mashaan, the Minister of Public Works and Minister of State for Municipal Affairs, issued two ministerial decisions to implement Civil Service Council Resolution No. 2 of 2024 concerning the regulations, provisions, and controls of official work within the oversight and inspection sector. This includes the departments under the minister, the Legal Department, the executive body of the municipality, and the General Secretariat of the Municipal Council.

The decisions entail the automatic linking of attendance fingerprints and the disbursement of all employees of the municipality and the municipal council through integrated civil service systems.

The two decisions require leaders in Kuwait Municipality to take all necessary measures to implement the fingerprint-based attendance and departure system.

They also mandate the implementation of official work regulations, provisions, and controls.

The decisions also specify that the responsibility for employee attendance falls directly on officials, with working hours aligned with related decisions and circulars. Each relevant sector in the two regions is responsible for overseeing the implementation mechanism to ensure the completion of automatic connectivity.
