‘Nazaha’ receives record 41,652 financial disclosure statements
The authority also received 6,471 final declarations related to the cessation of job roles covered by financial disclosure provisions.
Talal Atallah Al-Mutairi, the monitor overseeing monitoring procedures and databases at the Anti-Corruption Public Authority, “Nazaha,” announced that as of last Tuesday, March 19, a total of 41,652 financial disclosure statements had been received, accounting for 99.3 percent of the required statements.
He noted that among these declarations were 18,542 initial declarations related to assuming job roles covered by financial disclosure regulations, along with 16,639 updates for declarations that were three years old.
Additionally, the authority received 6,471 final declarations related to the cessation of job roles covered by financial disclosure provisions.
Al-Mutairi emphasized that “the authority will continue its work by receiving financial disclosure statements from those covered by the provisions of financial disclosure.” He highlighted the authority’s “commitment to maintaining continuous coordination and cooperation with the relevant authorities of those covered, urging them to submit their statements within the legal deadlines.”
Al-Mutairi urged applicants to inquire about “the start of their legal deadlines for submitting the financial disclosure statement via the ‘Sahl’ platform to avoid delays in their submissions.” He emphasized the necessity of printing and filling out the declaration forms before coming to the authority’s headquarters to submit them, as all the required forms are available on the authority’s official website www.nazaha.gov.kw.
Al-Mutairi emphasized “the importance of the role of authorities in updating the data of employees required to submit financial disclosures regularly and periodically.”
He stressed the significance of cooperation with the Anti-Corruption General Authority by providing necessary data and highlighted “the crucial role of financial disclosure in preventing financial corruption, protecting public funds, strengthening oversight over public office holders, and establishing transparency and integrity principles in state agencies.”
