13 Asians Arrested as Kuwait Cracks Down on ‘Lottery’ Gambling Network in Farwaniya
Authorities seize cash, gambling equipment, financial records and prohibited tobacco during the operation.

The Criminal Security Sector, represented by the General Department for Criminal Investigations, has arrested 13 Asian nationals in connection with a case involving the practice of gambling through the so-called “Lottery” system in the Farwaniya Governorate.
The arrests were made as part of the Ministry of Interior’s ongoing efforts to combat negative practices and illegal activities.
Investigations revealed that members of the network had rented two apartments in one of the residential complexes to conduct gambling activities. Security authorities intensified surveillance and monitoring, eventually leading to the arrest of those involved and the dismantling of the network.
The seized items included gambling equipment, documents and sums of money believed to have been used in the illegal activity. Officers also confiscated a quantity of prohibited tobacco (tanbak), which had been prepared and packaged for sale.
The suspects and seized materials were referred to the relevant authorities to complete the necessary legal procedures.
