United Indian School Celebrates Founder’s Day And Annual Thomas Chandy Memorial Award Ceremony 2026

United Indian School celebrated its Founder’s Day on October 29, 2026, with immense joy, gratitude, and reverence. The solemn occasion honored the visionary leadership, dedication, and enduring legacy of our revered founder, the late Mr. Thomas Chandy. It was also a proud moment for our school community as we recognized the outstanding academic achievements of our Grade X and XII toppers from the CBSE Board Examinations 2026, alongside the tireless contributions of our dedicated teachers and staff.

The event began on a prayerful note with the Kuwait National Anthem, followed by the recitation of the Holy Quran with its translation. Mrs. Geetha Reji led a solemn prayer, invoking divine blessings for the day and remembering our founder’s life and contribution with deep gratitude.

Our Principal, Mr. C. Radhakrishnan, extended a warm welcome to the management representatives, dignitaries, teachers, parents, and students, highlighting our collective commitment to carrying forward the school’s core values. In his presidential address, Mr. Joel Jacob, Executive Administrator, emphasized the school’s unwavering dedication to academic excellence and holistic development. His address reflected the founder’s enduring vision, personal lessons learned from working alongside him, and the collective efforts that have driven the school’s growth and success.

Adding grace and harmony to the event, the school choir performed a heartwarming song titled “Your Dream Lives On.” A special highlight of the morning was a nostalgic tribute by Mrs. Achamma Kuruvilla (HOD of Science, Primary Section), our senior-most faculty member, who shared cherished memories of our founder’s journey. The gathering was also treated to a colorful and energetic Rhythmic Fusion performance by our talented students.

The centerpiece of the day was the grand Award Ceremony, compered by Mrs. Anija Rachel Abraham:

  • Academic Excellence: Meritorious students of Grades X and XII, including subject toppers and centum scorers, were felicitated for their exceptional performance in the 2026 CBSE Board Examinations.
  • Teacher Appreciation: Teachers who guided students to achieve centums in the Grade X exams and the House In-Charge Teachers for 2025–26 were honoured for their dedicated leadership.
  • Staff Recognition: Administrative staff, support staff, and drivers were warmly appreciated and recognized for their selfless service to the institution.

The entire event was smoothly anchored by Mr. Baby K. Joseph, whose engaging presentation kept the audience connected throughout. The celebration concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks to everyone who contributed to making the day a grand success, followed by light refreshments for all guests.

Founder’s Day was not only a time to remember our roots, but also an inspiring reminder to our students and staff to keep striving for excellence and reaching new heights.
