Police Arrest Driver for Reckless Driving and Stunts, Impound Vehicle
The Ahmadi Governorate Security Directorate, in coordination with the General Traffic Department, has arrested a motorist for performing dangerous stunts and reckless driving in the Sabah Al-Salem area.
The Ministry of Interior said the arrest followed field surveillance and monitoring operations conducted by the Operations and Patrols Management Department, which identified the vehicle after it appeared in a widely circulated video on social media showing it performing dangerous stunts and reckless manoeuvres.
The vehicle was seized and its driver, identified as Muqfir Ali Sabah Al-Salem, was referred to the authorities on charges of endangering the lives of others. The vehicle was also impounded as a precautionary measure.
In a subsequent operation, the General Traffic Department’s Traffic Control and Monitoring Department located the driver, arrested him and initiated the necessary legal procedures before referring him to the Central Prison. The vehicle was also impounded.
The Ministry of Interior reaffirmed that it will continue intensified monitoring and enforcement campaigns against reckless driving and traffic violations, stressing that the law will be strictly enforced against anyone who endangers the lives of others to protect road users and maintain public safety.
