Inspection campaign in Ahmadi exposes fraudsters, 47 violators nabbed
The security campaigns in the Ahmadi and Mubarak Al-Kabeer governorates, organized by the Emergency Team of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry and the Ahmadi Security Directorate uncovered 47 violations of commercial fraud, failure to provide schedules specifying warranty periods for new and refurbished spare parts, and carrying out vehicle repairs without the required approval from the Ministry of Interior.
Inspectors also detected cases where businesses charged customers prices that had not been clearly declared, raising concerns over transparency and consumer protection. The authorities said legal measures have been taken against the violators in accordance with the applicable laws and regulations.
The campaign underscores the continued efforts by the authorities to tighten oversight of commercial and industrial activities, protect consumers and ensure businesses comply with licensing, pricing, warranty and regulatory requirements.
