MOI conducts security campaigns in Jahra, Farwaniya, arrests violators, persons wanted by law

The Ministry of Interior conducted two campaigns in the Jahra and Farwaniya governorates, resulting in the issuance of traffic violations and the arrest of violators and wanted individuals, as part of ongoing field efforts to enhance security and safety.

In a statement issued Sunday, the Ministry of Interior said that a security and traffic campaign in Jahra Governorate resulted in the issuance of 103 traffic violations and the arrest of 15 individuals for expired residency permits and 15 individuals wanted for security reasons. The statement added that the campaign, carried out by the General Department of Emergency Police, resulted in the arrest of 12 individuals without identification and 9 individuals against whom absconding reports had been filed.

The statement explained that the campaign, conducted under the supervision of the Director General of the General Department of Emergency Police, Brigadier General Hamlan Al-Hamlan, also resulted in the seizure of 7 vehicles wanted by the relevant authorities, in addition to the arrest of one wanted individual.

The statement indicated that the campaign was led by the Assistant Director General of the General Department of Emergency Police, Colonel Sabah Ali Al-Sabah, as part of continuous field efforts to enhance security and safety and apprehend wanted individuals and lawbreakers, emphasizing that campaigns will continue in various governorates.

In another statement, the Ministry of Interior said that the Farwaniya Governorate Security Directorate, in cooperation with Kuwait Municipality, the Ministries of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy, and Commerce and Industry, the Public Authority for Manpower, and the Public Authority for Food and Nutrition, conducted a security campaign in the Friday Market in the Al-Rai area.

The statement explained that the campaign resulted in the arrest of 25 individuals wanted for absconding, 16 wanted for expired residency permits, 8 violators of labor laws, and 3 individuals with expired visas. It also reported the arrest of two individuals wanted for debt-related cases, two for medical unfitness, two street vendors, one wanted for outstanding warrants, one registered with a non-existent company, and one wanted for “preventing entry into the country.”

The statement added that the campaign resulted in the issuance of seven reports by the Public Authority for Food and Nutrition, seven by the Public Authority for Manpower, and one by Kuwait Municipality, in addition to the provision of 120 humanitarian aid packages.
