59 million dinar deal inked for South Sabah Al-Ahmad power project

The duration of the work implementation for the residential project would last for 730 days.

  • The two contracts signed by the Public Authority for Housing Welfare are for supplying, installing, and executing a primary power station with an 11/132/400 KV voltage capacity, intended to cater to the South Sabah Al-Ahmad residential project.

  • The city’s main roads, infrastructure networks, and rainwater tanks project has made remarkable progress, with a completion rate of 13.5% by the end of April.

Engineer Rashid Al-Enezi, the Director General of the Public Authority for Housing Welfare, inked two contracts on Wednesday. These contracts are for supplying, installing, and executing a primary power station with an 11/132/400 KV voltage capacity, intended to cater to the South Sabah Al-Ahmad residential project.

In a press statement on the sidelines of the signing ceremony, Al-Enezi said, “The corporation is continuing to sign contracts for services for the city of South Sabah Al-Ahmad, to complement its efforts and accelerate the pace of completion to serve the people of the city.”

Al-Enezi said that the value of the two contracts amounted to 59 million dinars, while the duration of the work implementation would last for 730 days.
He pointed out that the value of the first contract was 30 million and 870,000 dinars to establish the Z1 station, while the value of the second contract was 29 million and 650,000 dinars to complete the Z2 station.

He revealed that the completion rate of the main roads project, infrastructure services networks, and rainwater tanks for the city is achieving remarkable progress. The completion rate up to the end of last April reached 13.5 percent, while the contractual rate in the approved timetable for the same month was 5.4 percent.

Al-Enezi stated that three tenders had previously been issued for road works and infrastructure networks for all suburbs of the city, which serve 20,380 housing units. He announced that the corporation is continuing to offer the rest of the contracts for public buildings in accordance with the corporation’s program and plans.
