440 Residency and Labor Law violators arrested in nationwide security campaigns

As part of continued efforts to enforce residency and labor laws, the General Department of Residency Affairs Investigations conducted intensive security campaigns across all governorates from April 30 to May 9, 2025 in coordination with relevant authorities.

The Al-Rai daily, quoting security sources said, these campaigns led to the arrest of 440 individuals found to be in violation of the country’s residency and labor regulations.

In a statement, the Ministry of Interior emphasized that these campaigns fall under a comprehensive security plan aimed at controlling illegal labor, monitor the status of residency violators, address related negative phenomena, and ensure full compliance with the laws governing work and residency in Kuwait.

The Ministry confirmed that legal measures had been taken against those arrested, who have been referred to the competent authorities for further action.

It further stressed that security campaigns will continue across all regions of the country and warned that both workers and employers involved in violations will be held accountable — without exception.
