31 years, one enduring legacy: Learning and leadership at FAIPS-DPS
FAIPS-DPS Kuwait marked its 31st Founder’s Day and Scholar Badge Programme, celebrating over three decades of academic excellence, holistic development and enduring educational values. The grand occasion was graced by eminent dignitaries, including Chief Guests His Excellency Phub Dorji, Ambassador of Bhutan to the State of Kuwait, and Ms. Muniah Abdulkhaliq Alnouri, Co-founder of FAIPS-DPS and Secretary General of the Kuwaiti Society for Student Support, along with distinguished personalities, Ms. Ghada Khalaf, Ms. Lana Othmann Al-Ayyar, Arun Chaudhury, and Ms. Amna Al Moamen, Supervisor Student Affairs from the Ministry of Private Education.
The celebration commemorated the remarkable journey of an institution that began with just 26 students and has grown into a premier educational community of over 6,300 students. The occasion stood as a fitting tribute to the institution’s legacy of learning, leadership and its unwavering commitment to nurturing young minds.
The formal proceedings commenced with solemn reverence, featuring the Kuwait National Anthem, followed by a recitation from the Holy Quran, the ceremonial lighting of the lamp and an invocation dance. A brief and warm welcome by the Head Boy and Head Girl set the tone for a morning filled with pride and celebration.
The auditorium soon came alive with vibrant cultural performances. Students enthralled the audience with “Swar Sangam,” a captivating musical jugalbandi, followed by “Sing La Vie,” an uplifting choral rendition. Adding to the splendour of the occasion was the official release of “Panorama,” the seventh edition of the school magazine, which beautifully showcased the literary talent, creativity and artistic vision of the student community.
Adding intellectual depth to the celebrations, Principal Ravi Ayanoli delivered the inspiring “Excellence in Action” address. He emphasised the responsibility of educators to impart complete knowledge while empowering students to cultivate personal integrity and overcome fear. Speaking on personal growth, he urged students to consciously eliminate the “poisons” of anger, ego, jealousy and hate, encouraging them to embrace values that lead to a purposeful and fulfilling life.
The celebration then moved into the much-anticipated Scholar Badge and Award Distribution Ceremony, organised into two distinct sessions. In the first session, the Bhutan envoy presented Class X Scholar Badges and trophies to the top CBSE and Cambridge achievers who secured an aggregate of 90% and above and A* grades respectively.
Addressing the gathering, His Excellency commended the sacrifices and support of parents and encouraged students to strike a meaningful balance between emerging technologies, including the Internet of Things and artificial intelligence, and the enduring values of human compassion.
The second session witnessed another significant moment of recognition, with Alnouri presenting cash awards to the Class XII students who had secured centum in various subjects, acknowledging their outstanding academic achievement. In her nostalgic address, she encouraged students to think beyond conventional boundaries and to measure success not merely through achievement, but through character and purpose.
The academic excellence of class X which attained centum in different subjects was also recognized, while students who had demonstrated exceptional talent and achievement in sports were felicitated for their remarkable accomplishments by Ms. Khalaf and Ms. Al-Ayyar. Chaudhary felicitated staff members who had completed 15 or more years of dedicated service, acknowledging their invaluable contribution to the institution.
As a gesture of respect and gratitude, commemorative mementos were presented to the honoured Chief Guests. The proceedings concluded with a heartfelt Vote of Thanks delivered by the Vice-Head Boy and Vice-Head Girl, acknowledging the collective contributions of the management, guests, faculty and parents in making the celebration a memorable one.
The 31st Founder’s Day concluded on a celebratory note, reaffirming FAIPS-DPS Kuwait’s enduring legacy and its continued commitment to academic distinction, character building and holistic student development.
